The Early Learners Program at Boyne City Public Schools orchestrated a heartwarming family holiday event that brought the community together for a wonderful evening at the scenic Park of the Pines. Kendra Miller, the new Family Liaison for the Strong Beginnings program, and Ruthie Eaton, a dedicated teacher, collaborated to create a memorable experience for families.

The event's centerpiece was the outdoor evening literacy walk, featuring interactive lights and a storybook trail. Families enjoyed a leisurely stroll, reading a delightful book amid the twinkling lights, creating a festive atmosphere.

Post-literacy walk, families savored homemade soup and hot cocoa, fostering a cozy ambiance for the night. The celebration continued with holiday crafts, a visit from Santa for family photos, and access to community resources, promoting a sense of togetherness.

A special acknowledgment goes to Park of the Pines for graciously providing their venue, contributing to the event's success. Collaborations with local partners, including Great Start Collaborative and Early Head Start, enhanced community ties.

The evening concluded with a Family Bingo session, where parents vied for prizes donated by local businesses and supporters. Volunteers, including the Early Learners staff, NHS members, the wrestling team, and high school photographer Sadie Kroondyk, played pivotal roles in ensuring the event's success.

The Early Learners Program remains dedicated to crafting memorable experiences that blend education, enjoyment, and community engagement. This holiday event exemplified the power of collaboration and the generosity of the local community, leaving families with hearts full of joy and lasting memories.
