Today our BCES 4th graders took time to write messages to High School students. During the high school lunch schedule, the 4th grade students walked over to personally deliver each inspiring note to hopefully bring a little joy to a stressful week of testing. #boyneinspires #boynecares #boynepride

Today at BCES we proudly recognized the installation of a pinwheel garden in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month 💙

Each pinwheel serves as a powerful symbol of hope, awareness, and the bright future every child deserves. This display reminds us all of the importance of working together to create safe, supportive environments where children can grow and thrive.

Thank you to everyone who helps to bring this meaningful project to life each year and for standing up in support of children in our community. 💙 #boynecares #boynepride #boyneinspires

Congratulations to the BCHS students of the month for March! 9th Grade - Ben Velzy Ben continues to maintain the highest level of classroom diligence as he did in first semester. He is a hard working young man as well as an independent thinker. Beyond his high academic achievement, what I truly value is his regular contribution to class discussion. It offers not only his personal knowledge but also his unique perspective on historical concepts. The depth of our class discussions in large part begins with Ben's talking points. Thank you Ben. 10th Grade - Natalie Mastin Natalie is a dedicated student with a very bright future aheadof her. She makes goals for herself andher future, and she works towards themevery day. In our classroom, she is kind, friendly, and focused. When things don'tcome naturally to her, she doesn't justgive up. She keeps trying and keepsworking in order be better. She's resilient! 11th Grade - Ashton Derenzy Ashton has made tremendous strides to improve things for himself in the classroom over the course of the school year. His efforts to grow in his organization, responsibility, and decision making in recent months have been impressive and have resulted in concrete evidence of his success, including strong grades across the board. It is not easy to turn things around for yourself, and Ashton's efforts should be commended. 12th Grade - Ella Stuart-Wall Ella is the definition of a 'community builder.-both in class and in school events' Her ability to juggle high-level academic responsibilities, alongside her leadership roles in NHS and the Freshman Mentor program is nothing short of impressive. What truly sets Ella apart, however, is her heart for service. She is a true team leader who approaches every event with creativity and a willingness to help wherever needed. She does all of this with a smile on her face and a true willingness to make BCHS a better place for students and staff alike! Thank you Ella for being you and helping to make BCHS a great place to be! #boynepride

Eight students from Ms. Hamilla's Innovations class proudly represented Boyne City at the first Northwest Regional Invention Convention in Kalkaska this past Saturday, showcasing a total of seven creative inventions.

All of the students did an outstanding job, demonstrating innovation, problem-solving, and professionalism throughout the event. Their efforts reflected extremely well on both their classroom and our school community.

A special congratulations goes out to three students who were selected by judges to advance to the state competition in Dearborn at the Henry Ford Museum:

Caleb Bertels and Gus Eggeman – The Aeroshift V1

Wally Dzwik – The Blue Diamond

We are incredibly proud of all of our participants and wish Caleb, Gus, and Wally the best of luck as they move on to represent Boyne City at the state level!
