Today our 9th grade students took a field trip to NCMC in Petoskey to take part in Mi CareerQuest, where they explored many different future career opportunities, as well as CTE classes they could enroll in over the course of their high school career! #boynepride #boyneinspires

BCHS is proud to announce the September Students of the Month!
9th Grade - Noelle Charboneau
Noelle has become a welcomed addition to Boyne City High School and the Freshman class! She is a friendly face who says hello every morning to students and staff alike. She is trying new things (SAFE to name one) with a new set of friends and seems to be liking her time as a Rambler so far. She asks questions about pertinent things and wants to be involved. Although she says that she is shy and introverted, she is putting herself out there and going outside of her comfort zone at times to become acclimated to BCHS!
10th Grade - Maitlyn Barkley
Maitlyn works hard in class and stays focused on improving her skills. She asks good questions, and truly seems to enjoy the challenges that come with learning. She is kind to her peers, and she is emerging as a leader in our class.
11th Grade - Isaiah Stafford
He is quite social - Isaiah is one of those quiet students who you think does not have much to say, but when you get him talking about something he enjoys, he won't stop. He is responsible - give him a task and he will get it done. He is a leader - he was in charge of running the MS School cash register for the last two years, and he was able to run the store and do all jobs if necessary. He gets involved - he works in his uncle's restaurant, and he worked at Young State Park. He does not like change - he likes what he likes and sometimes has a hard time changing, but this year instead of eating by himself, he sits with other students. It's great to see him making the most of his time at BCHS!
12th Grade - Deegan Anthony
Deegan is an exceptional leader and team player, embodying commitment both in the classroom and in his extracurriculars. He is known for his dedication to his studies, often taking the lead in group projects and consistently prioritizing academic success. This drive extends beyond the classroom walls, where he is frequently seen cheering on his classmates and ensuring his peers finish strong. In his extracurricular activities, he consistently goes the extra mile to encourage and support his teammates, demonstrating that his dedication to lifting others up is a core part of his character.

Boyne City High School is pleased to announce our May Students of the Month:
9th Grade
Cooper Vizina: Cooper has consistently shown all year that he is a hard worker and kind. He might blend into classes because he is not the loudest one in the room, however, when I had an opportunity to ask him how golf was going, he was quick to compliment a fellow teammate who he was competing against for the same Varsity golf spot. It was refreshing to see a student be happy for someone else, even if he it means he has to work harder. Cooper is a strong leader and truly helps those around him be better in sports, in the classroom and as people.
10th Grade
Abe Rykse: Abe Rykse is an intelligent, hardworking student who thinks deeply about the world around him. More importantly, he is a kind, supportive friend who has made everyone in our classroom feel welcome. He is someone who genuinely cares about others, and it is evident in all his actions.
11th Grade
Carter Bernthal: Carter is as consistent a student as you will find. Her diligence to her studies has always been a clear priority, whether it was back in 9th grade US History in in her current studies with World History. In addition, she is a force of kindness and positivity in the classroom. I will miss her impact on the classroom in every respect. Thank you Carter.

Our students have loved the ability to stop in and visit the kittens! #boynecares

Today marks the last day of regular classes for other BCHS Class of 2025, and last evening our Rambler Connect group "Chalked the Walk" to help welcome our seniors for their final day. #boynepride

The Future Educator Academy students did a great job participating in a mock interview where local professionals inquired about their interest and experiences in the education career pathway.
