Last week the Early Learners wrapped up an amazing year! From 4-year-old celebrations to picnics we made many fun memories. We hope everyone has a great summer! #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNECARES #BOYNEINSPIRES

Over the last month the Early Learners have been watching the different life cycles of butterflies. This week they got to release their butterflies! It was a fun experience for all! #BOYNEINSPIRES #BOYNECARES

I SCREAM, YOU SCREAM, WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!! Yesterday the Early Learners got to go on a special field trip. Each class walked down to Alpine Chocolat Haus for a special treat! All of the proceeds went to support the Boyne City Little League. What a fun was to show support to our community while getting some delicious ice cream! #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNECARES #BOYNEINSPIRES

Rainey Landscaping brought all their equipment for the Early Learners kids to explore. The kids loved getting to learn more about how the equipment works. Thank you Rainey Landscaping for everything you did to make this possible, and also thank you to the Boyne City Public Library for letting us use your parking lot for all the equipment! #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNEINSPIRES #BOYNECARES

Yesterday the ELP kids had the chance to go on a multi-sensory literacy walk. They got to experience "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" in a whole new way. #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNEINSPIRES #BOYNECARES

The Early Learners had a fun visit this week from GFL. The students have been learning about garbage and recycling. This was a fun way to wrap up that unit. The students had a great time getting to see the garbage truck and learn more about the process. #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNECARES #BOYNEINSPIRES

Small hands change the world! Happy Earth Day! Each class celebrated in their own way, but one thing is for sure, we had fun while learning how to care for the Earth. #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNECARES #BOYNEINSPIRES

The Early Learners kids are having fun this week with some Easter Egg activities! As we hop into the weekend, please remember that tomorrow is a 1/2 day. Enjoy your weekend and Happy Easter! #BOYNECARES #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNEINSPIRES

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Early Learners Program is taking this time to bring special focus to the prevention of child maltreatment through awareness in our community. For more information, you can reach out to the Child Abuse Prevention & Education Council www.capeACE.org #boynecares #boynepride #boyneinspires

The Early Learners Program welcomed parents of our 4 year old classrooms to the Spring Family Participation Meeting last night. We had a great turn out as parents/families learned more about what to expect as their students make the transition from preschool to kindergarten next year. We will miss these sweet kids but are excited for their next adventure! #boyneinspires #boynecares #boynetough

The Early Learners Program would like to take a minute to say thank you to all of those from near and far that came to help our city during the ice storm. It was amazing to see how our community came together! Thank you to everyone who showed others what Boyne City is about #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNECARES #BOYNEINSPIRES

It was a "RUFF" Day at The Early Learners Program today. A couple of our classrooms completed their Pet Unit Study. They invited Alexis Bielas, a local groomer, to come and share some of her skill with working with dogs. The students learned about how dogs get their toenails, ears, and body washed. Alexis also brought her grooming equipment and modeled how to use it properly. The students got to hear about what education Alexis used to get her State certificate. I think it is safe to say everyone had a great time! #boynepride #boyneinspires

Wow! On Tuesday night, we had a fantastic time at the BCEL Holiday Event at Park of the Pines! We first wanted to say thank you to everyone who made this night possible! First and foremost, thank you to Park of the Pines for donating their space! The BC Boosters Foundation provided a generous grant donation for our event!
We would also like to thank our generous community organizations that volunteered their time to share their resources with our families at our event; NMCAA, CAPE Council, Boyne City Library, Great Start Collaborative Family Coalition, and NW Health Department!
We additionally had some beautiful prizes donated by local small businesses to be gifted to families participating in our connection activity! We are incredibly grateful for how our community came together to help provide excellent opportunities for connection and show our families how much we appreciate them!
We had countless student volunteers come to engage with our families and connect with our little Ramblers! We couldn't do any of this without our wonderful community! #BOYNEPRIDE #BOYNECARES #BOYNEINSPIRES

BCPS Families:
November is Diabetes Awareness Month, and from our Early Learners through our high school buildings, we have Boyne students and staff with Type One Diabetes (T1D). T1D is a life-long condition that has no cure.
For these reasons, Boyne City Public Schools will be promoting Diabetes Awareness for the month of November, and on World Diabetes Day, November 14th, a special "Boyne Wears Blue" day for Type One Diabetes Awareness. We will be offering these shirts and sweatshirts with proceeds going directly to supporting our very own Boyne diabetic students.
Please see the link below for purchasing a “Boyne Wears Blue” shirt. These items will be delivered on November 12/13th so that they can be worn on November 14th. As of now, the link only includes adult sizes, but we are working on adding youth sizes. Please reach out to Ellen Dart at edart@boyne.k12.mi.us with any questions.
