Several 4th grade students participated in a book club with paraprofessional Mrs. Jackie. They read the book Pay it Forward and decided to take on the challenge and come up with their own way to pay it forward. They held a snack sale right before their field trip to Mackinaw City. The 4th grade classes were able to raise $150 to donate to Room 156 at the middle school! Great work students!! #boyneinspires #boynecares #boynepride

BCHS is proud to announce our Students of the Month for May! 9th Grade - Allison Kujawski (Compassionate) Allison is a ray of sunshine who consistently shows compassion through her kindness, patience, and support toward her peers and everyone around her. Her cheerful disposition and genuine care for others make it easy for her to connect with people and create a positive environment wherever she goes. Our daily lunchtime visits and the moments she stops by between 5th and 6th hour are always a welcomed break in my day. Allison has a way of making people smile simply by being herself. 10th Grade - Evan Biskner (Responsible) Evan is a person who can be counted on. He shows up for himself and his classmates in class each day, while also balancing sports and drama. He communicates when he is going to be absent, asks questions when he is unsure, and completes tasks diligently. He an outspoken participant in class discussions, and a role model for good reading habits. He is kind, and I often see him in the halls greeting his peers and teachers. Yes, he's responsible, but he's also adaptable, compassionate, communicative, collaborative, and thoughtful. 11th Grade - Emmaleah Richards (Communicator) Emmaleah is a fantastic communicator. She articulates her ideas in class discussions and composes high-quality pieces of writing. Her ideas, opinions, and questions help others stay engaged in class and better understand the material. Additionally, Emmaleah's strong grades across the board and the wide variety of courses she takes speak volumes about her overall work ethic and commitment to her education. Great job, Emmaleah! #boynepride

BCES Reading Celebration “Spring into Reading” was held recently with many happy families involved. Students had the opportunity to do a book review, go to the Book Fair, make a craft, enjoy a yummy dirt cup snack, play a Book Walk game to earn new books plus take home a book bag with quality used books.

**Thanks to the generosity of the Boyne Valley Garden Club and Cherry Hill Greenhouse, we were able to plant and take home beautiful spring annual flowers!**

Today the graduating Class of 2026 spent their Senior Activity Day at Boyne Mountain and at Veterans Park. This years special group of seniors came up with the nostalgic idea of re-creating their elementary field day, complete with competitions, prize ribbons, and some fun in the wooden park. They then traveled to Boyne Mountain for lunch and activities such as zip lining, paintball, disc golf, and swimming, culminating in a class picture on the sky bridge. A special thank you to Adam Rase and the entire Boyne Mountain staff, the Lions Club, Marty Moody, Mike McShane, and the 4th grade staff for providing such a wonderful day for these seniors as they look forward to graduation on May 31st! #boynecares

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! 🍎📚
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, sent treats, shared kind notes, or helped in any way to make this week special for our teachers and staff at BCES. Your generosity and support helped remind them just how valued and appreciated they are. Special Thanks to Megan & Tom from BC McDonald's, Casa Tequila, The Coffee Chariot (Cassie and Kolton Gerred; Ashley and Camden Reynolds), Family Fare, Katie Doran and Jackie Sorg.
Our teachers give so much of themselves every single day, and this week would not have been possible without our amazing community coming together to celebrate them. Thank you for helping us create meaningful moments of appreciation, encouragement, and joy.
We are so grateful for each and every contribution — big or small. Thank you for supporting our schools and the incredible educators who make a difference every day! 💙 #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares
