Thank you to Dionne Farms and Ami Dionne for hosting the 5th graders at their family apple orchard. Students learned about the different varieties of apples, grapes, pollinator gardens and careers in agriculture. 5th graders had the opportunity to pick honey crisp and gala apples. At the end of the field trip, students picked bushels of apples that were donated to our building and our food pantry. This trip was organized by our Rambler Wellness and youth advisory committee and it was part of our Michigan Harvest of the Month Program. Thank you to the Dionne family for this wonderful opportunity!

Boyne City High School is proud to announce our Students of the Month for September! Students are nominated and voted upon by staff and honored at the end of each month to celebrate the great things they are doing within their school day and out in the community! A description of why they were nominated below. Pictured below: Sarah Eaton (12th Grade), Lily Looze (10th Grade), and Natalie Mastin (9th Grade) 12th Grade - Sarah Eaton Sarah went above and beyond in the planning and implementation of Spirit Week with Student Council, and as Class President. She took on a lot of tasks and completed them flawlessly, all the while keeping on top of her grades and schoolwork. There are so many things here that wouldn't be done if it weren't for Sarah! I don't think many realize just how much she does for our entire student body. 10th Grade - Lily Looze Lily has only missed 1 day this year and is really focused on being a better student. She recognizes the value of education and tries very hard to surround herself with positive influences throughout the day. We are so proud of you Lily! 9th Grade - Natalie Mastin Natalie is maintaining a perfect grade in US History. Natalie regularly contributes to classroom conversation and is a diligent student. In addition, her positivity and energetic personality brings a great light to the classroom culture.
