9th Grade - Violet Booher
Violet continues to impress. Violet is diligent each and every day with both her studies and her engagement. She is a conversation starter and benefits both her table group as well as classmates in general with her regular input and insight. Her persistent effort and interest in understanding the concepts that are presented in class is noticed and appreciated. Thank you Violet!

10th Grade - Nolan Olds
Nolan is a student who might who may not always get the recognition he deserves. He is very reserved, but he works hard. In our class, he is always focused. He asks good questions, and he communicates when he's struggling. No matter what happens, Nolan never makes excuses. He rises to meet obstacles head on, without complaint.

11th Grade - Leanne Barnes
Leanne is rocking all A's and one B+ this school year. She has been a model student and her attendance has been great with only 1 absence in 1 class so far this year. I recently had a teacher tell me what a great job she is doing in class.

12th Grade - Carter VanHorn
Carter is an amazing leader in 5th hour Physical Education. He runs amazing calisthenic lines! His daily commitment to this position ensures the smoothest start to class. The class would not be what it is without his senior leadership. He makes everyday fun for his peers! His ability to have the whole class doing what they are supposed to be doing is so much appreciated! Thank you Carter for all you do!

Imagine being thousands of miles from home. Sometimes, the smallest comfort—like a handful of your favorite candy—is exactly what you need.

This year, we want to deliver that comfort and the BCES is joining with Boyne City American Legion Post 228 for a Halloween Candy Drive. Candy donations may be sent in with students or dropped off during school hours at the elementary office.

The BCES Trunk n' Read event on Saturday was a spooktacular success. Sunshine and smiles mixed with tricks and treats made for the absolute best autumn afternoon!

Boyne City Elementary School extends our deepest gratitude to Eta Nu for the incredibly generous "Dress for Chill" yesterday! Those ladies worked so hard outfitting 157 students at BCES with essential winter gear. This is a massive help, ensuring our students will stay warm and safe throughout the cold months ahead. We also want to thank Pat O'Brien for his continued and generous financial support to help keep this program going. Yesterday was a great day for Miss Calnens Earth Science class to take a field trip to Kitch-Iti-Kipi in the beautiful Upper Peninsula! The Early Learners Program had some very special visitors yesterday. The Boyne City Fire Department, along with the Charlevoix County Sheriffs Department, came to visit for Safety Day! This is always a very loved event by students and staff alike. Thank you to everyone who came to make this day so special for our students!
