BCES is super excited to announce the Rambler Cup Recipient this week- 4th Grader Ella Yang from Mrs. Stanek's class! This is our way to celebrate when a student is trying their best to be Respectful, Responsible, Caring, Safe, and Kind with a prideful love for school. This morning before school, 30 high school juniors and seniors met with our 6th grade team to begin preparing for their role as camp counselors this May. This meaningful and long-standing tradition has been part of BCPS for over 30 years. Nearly all of these future counselors once experienced camp themselves as 6th graders, and now they have the chance to give back. It’s an incredible opportunity for them to mentor and support our current students during a truly unforgettable experience. #Boynepride #Boynecares

This morning our 4th grade students learned about electrical safety and efficiency with DTE and Consumers Energy. This hands-on experience taught our students how energy is a big part of our everyday lives. Each 4th grade student was given an energy efficiency bag to use in their homes! The Boyne City High School Future Educator Academy CTE students, representing 8 different schools within the CHAR-EM ISD, loaded the bus and travelled to multiple locations to learn about different pathways in education. If you know a 11th or 12th grade student who might be interested in the field of education, please reach out to your school counselor today! 🎮💥 Shout out to our Boyne City Middle School Esports team for an incredible season! While they just missed the playoffs by a hair, this crew made huge strides in only their second year of competition. 💪 From teamwork and cohesiveness to top-notch communication and staying strong academically, these student-athletes represented BCMS with pride and dedication every step of the way. Yesterday, Avery Calnen (BCHS Science Teacher) and Jim Beckering (BCHS Art teacher) had the opportunity to serve as keynote speakers for a professional development event "The Art of Nature" through Char-Em, which was hosted by the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey. Congratulations to BCHS junior Jonathon Cosier, who is currently attending a Career & Technical Education Welding course at East Jordan for a portion of his day, prior to returning to BCHS for the remainder of his day. Johnny has been selected by the CTE faculty as the March 2025 Career & Technical Education Student of the Month. He plans to pursue a career in roofing or welding. Jonathan enjoys welding and autos. Jonathan is the son of Jody and John Cosier. Congrats, Johnny, we are proud of you! #boynepride

At Boyne City Middle School, giving back is part of who we are—and our students continue to lead the way! Meet Serenity Jensen, a 7th grader who volunteered her time this morning to read to Mrs. Klooster’s kindergarten class at BCES. Serenity is just one of many BCMS students who stepped up during March is Reading Month to share the joy of reading with our youngest learners. The Early Learners Program welcomed parents of our 4 year old classrooms to the Spring Family Participation Meeting last night. We had a great turn out as parents/families learned more about what to expect as their students make the transition from preschool to kindergarten next year.
