The sunrise was glowing and beautiful at the ES Building this morning and the day became even more bright at the Rambler Awards Recognition Assemblies this afternoon. We're so proud of all of our first semester Rambler Cup and Caring Catcher winners. #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

The BCMS Scripts Spelling Bee was held today, and we’re thrilled to congratulate Quinn Kessler, our spelling bee champion! Quinn will advance to the regional competition in Traverse City this March. A heartfelt thank you to Monica Peck from the Boyne City Library, Sara Ward from the Charlevoix Community Foundation, Nicole Seymour, BCHS ELA teacher, and Julie Sisson and Libby Pearson for their efforts in organizing this fantastic event.

BCES is super excited to announce the Rambler Cup Recipient this week- Kindergartner David Moose from Mrs. Fitzpatrick's class! This is our way to celebrate when a student is trying their best to be Respectful, Responsible, Caring, Safe, and Kind with a prideful love for school. When a student is awarded the Rambler Cup, they take it home for the week and their name will be engraved on it at the end of the school year. #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

Boyne City High School is proud to announce our students of the month for December! Pictured below are Ryleigh Sutherland (9th Grade) and Jeremy Stout (10th Grade). Our junior and senior honorees have chosen not to have their picture posted.
9th Grade
Ryleigh Sutherland: Ryleigh is kind and respectful. She is focused and intentional in her studies, currently an all A student. She is helpful to her peers and adds value to our classroom with her calm demeanor and reserved presence. Yet, Ryleigh shines through very brightly in her deeds and carefully curated discussions. Recently, she went above and beyond when asked to make Holiday cards for our local elderly citizens in assisted living facilities that may not have loved ones to visit. On her own time, she made even more and brought them to class. They were exceptional, thoughtful, and very much appreciated.
10th Grade
Jeremy Stout: Jeremy has been able to rise above the chaos of 6th hour with awesome grades. His work ethic is phenomenal. He works diligently and also finds time to help others with their Geometry. Jeremy has been an absolute joy.
*Our 11th grade honoree has chosen not to be recognized on social media.
12th Grade
Clover Stainbrook: This year, Clover has gone out of their way to really participate and take part in all things BCHS. In NHS, Clover has been a standout representative for our group by taking on every opportunity to help volunteer and give back to our community. In our English class, Clover consistently shows dedication to our group discussions and assignments, many times leading the way and encouraging others to share ideas too. Keep leading and helping out, Clover! You are appreciated!

Our Lineworker program, which is possible due to a terrific partnership between Boyne City High School and Great Lakes Energy, continues to thrive. Below is former student, Sam Wilson, who is pictured from atop a 90-foot tower on the Northwest Lineman College Idaho campus, representing in a Rambler program sweatshirt. How cool is this? #boynepride. #boyneinspires

Today, BCPS Board Members Zareena Koch and Riley Cope took their Oath of Office for their new terms, which start in January, at the middle school in Ms. Gravlin's 8th-grade social studies class. They also had a nice discussion with students about the role the Board plays in making decisions for students and the community. Both Board members were inspired by taking the Oath of Office in front of the kids they serve. #boyneinspires

BCES is super excited to announce the Rambler Cup Recipient this week- 1st Grader Josie Ellison from Mrs. Lidak's class!

Thank you so much to Dollar and a Juke Box Band for visiting the BCES yesterday. Students were delighted to listen and sing along to all the holiday favorites during their lunch hours. #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

Each year, Boyne City High School sponsors a "Christmas Wish List" program, where fundraising efforts are made to purchase gifts for BCHS students in need. Pictured below is Sandy Clausen, Student Council advisor and the heart behind this project, and Natash Hizelberger of Stiggs Feed-A-Friend. In additional to the usual gift packages given to BCHS students, this year there was an additional donation added to each package from Stiggs Feed-A-Friend.
Stiggs Feed-A-Friend has made donations to families in our school who are in need this Christmas, ensuring that no family goes hungry during the holiday season. They provided gift cards to these families and also offered a complimentary meal to them every Sunday throughout the year. Natasha Hizelberger is making a significant impact with her efforts, as her goal is to improve the circumstances of poverty for residents in Charlevoix County.

Boyne City Middle School Band students have been spreading Christmas cheer around all week by playing carols at the Elementary and Middle Schools and at their excellent concert Tuesday night! #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

Holiday Spirit Week at the BCES wouldn't have been complete without a visit from the jolliest of them all. Santa himself made an early stop this year to spread the cheer, complete with story time and magic. BCPS wishes everyone a safe and wonderful Christmas and New Year! Enjoy your holiday break and we will see you back at school on January 6th! #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

Our Kindergarten & Fourth Grade classes were busy elves yesterday as they delivered holiday gifts, song and cheer around town! What a way to brighten up the day! #boynepride #boyneinspires #boynecares

Congratulations to Jamie Ploe and Anna Zucker, our BCHS Media Center Winter Raffle winners! They have each won a basket filled with fun stuff: New Book, Fuzzy Blanket, Hot Chocolate, some Candy and a few little crafts. We hope they enjoy a cozy holiday break reading their new books.

Last night, students from BCHS Drama lent their voices to the LIGHTS OF LOVE Eta Nu tree lighting done annually at the Dilworth Inn porch. This event helps raise money for Hospice of Northwest Michigan. A special heart was also placed for former Charlevoix art teacher, Mercedes Mathers. Marty also painted sets for BCHS Drama for many years & has influenced & taught many of our current painters on set/theater painting. It was our honor to be there to sing in her memory. #boyneinspires #boynepride

We sure do love candy canes and snowflakes at BCES. Two more days of Holiday Spirit Week down and two to go! #boyneinspires

This morning the BCHS Rambler Connect club and the Boyne City Police Department hosted our annual 'Cops and Doughnuts' meet and greet, where current BCHS students had coffee and donuts with local law enforcement members. Boyne City is blessed with such wonderful members of our police department! #boynepride

Green galore to kick off Holiday Spirit Week at BCES! Our hearts grew three sizes today with all of the love or students and staff showed for the Grinch!! #boyneinspires
