The Early Learner had their annual Holiday Party at the Park of the Pines. It is such a special night for our students, their families, and our staff alike. An event like this take a lot of help to pull off. BCES recently received an Active Recess Grant from Building Healthy Communities and their Step Up for School Wellness Grant. Our school received this equipment cart with all of the equipment which includes, soccer balls, dodge balls, football balls, basketballs. jump ropes, hula hoops, along with other items to help keep our students moving at recess time. The cart also included two manuals full of games to engage them at recess. This winter, students will be learning the games in their P.E. time and then the cart will move outside this spring. #boyneinspires #boynecares #boynepride

BCES is so grateful for this crew of Building Trades students from BCHS and Joe and Lisa Howie from the BCPS transportation department! Together, they helped to lift and load all the donations our school collected for Boyne City’s Community Christmas. BCES was so generous in their donations, that two buses were needed to transport all that was donated. Boyne has ❤️! #boyneinspires #boynecares # boynepride

BCES has been working with Building Healthy Communities: Step Up for School Wellness. We are taking steps to improve well being and build healthy habits. We will be posting some great ideas twice a week through the month of December. Our first post is all about Healthy Eating. Tip #1🥗✨ Add some holiday color to your plate! Try red apples, green grapes, or orange carrots for a festive, healthy snack. Eating a rainbow helps you stay strong all season long! #HealthyHolidays #EatTheRainbow #boyneinspires #boynecares

BCHS is proud to announce our Students of the Month for November!
9th Grade - Sunny Sherk
Sunny Sherk is a fabulous candidate for student of the month. She always has a smile, works diligently to stay on top of any work missed when absent, and is not afraid to ask questions for clarification. Sunny consistently participates in class discussions, whether to share her opinions on topics or to answer a question from homework, yet she allows others to participate as well. In addition, Sunny demonstrates maturity and kindness daily; she models in class and out of class what it means to be a Rambler. This makes her an outstanding choice for Student of the month.
10th Grade - Riley Thiel
Riley is so kind! Kindness RADIATES from her. She is a role model for treating people with kindness and compassion. She is a friend to all and a relentlessly thoughtful classmate to her peers. I often hear her greeting other students when she enters a classroom, and I hear her checking in with the quietest students in the room, asking about their weekend. She is awesome.
11th Grade - Savannah Wells
Savannah has fun with her education! She learns from her mistakes and is always striving to be better. She is respectful and almost always has a smile on her face. Her smile makes my classroom a better place. I enjoy her humor while she works hard in a challenging class. Keep it up, Savannah!
12th Grade - Alex Bouters
Alex is having his best year of high school to date. He has established good career goals, he has been taking the college application process very seriously, and he has been excelling in VI class.
